Cray-Cyber.org Knowledge Base: WikiWiki| WikiWord: WikiWiki - Version: 3 (last edited by: Frederik Meerwaldt) - Modified on 15.04.2005 13:38 | Not logged on (log on) |
A WikiWiki is a kind of dynamically growing web where all WikiWord's are automatically linked.
This makes the creation and administration of websites very easy and the Cray-Cyber.org team can edit these pages.
This WikiWiki is not an off-the-shelf product, it was written especially for Cray-Cyber in order to integrate in the Cray-Cyber Webdesign and authentication mechanisms.
When creating new pages, you should follow these conventions:
- All WikiWord's are singular. If you need a plural, please use an apostrophe between your WikiWord and the s. This is grammatical nonsense, but the only way to make sure that not 2 pages for the same topic exist.
- When you edit a page, please explicitly mark the parts you edited. You can use your Name in WikiWiki-Language by just removing the space (e.g. FrederikMeerwaldt).
- Format the pages with normal HTML - this is the speciality of this WikiWiki, but please also use it.
- Delete old versions if you only made a minor change (e.g. typo, formatting, style) to your own page, keep old versions if you add real information to the page.
- If you want to type a word which would follow the conventions of a WikiWord, but you don't want it to be a WikiWord, just seperate it by, for example a dash (e.g. Wiki-Word).
